The 2026/2027 employee pay bands and contribution rates will operate in the LGPS from 1 April 2026 until 31 March 2027.

The Government has confirmed that local government pensions will rise by 3.8% from 6 April 2026. Local government pensions are increased each year in line with the cost of living to retain their spending power.
