Merseyside Pension Fund will be closed from 5pm on Friday 22 December 2023 until 9am on Tuesday 2 January 2024.
In 2024 your local government pension will continue to be paid no later than the 10th of each month by Merseyside Pension Fund.
If you are on strike, your LGPS pension will be affected. Your LGPS pension is based on your pay, and your pay will reduce if you are on strike. You can pay extra contributions to buy back the pension you ‘lose’.
Active Members who are registered users of 'MyPension', and were contributing to the LGPS as at 31 March 2023, can now view their 2023 Annual Benefit Statement online.
In accordance with Regulation 2(3) of the Local Government Pension Scheme Regulations 2013 and following guidance received from the Secretary of State, we can now confirm that the early retirement factors have been updated with effect from 3 July 2023 and will be applied to benefits taken voluntarily before Normal Pension Age.
Deferred Members who are registered users of 'MyPension', can now view their latest Annual Benefit Statement online.
There is currently a vacancy for the position of Deferred Members’ representative on the Local Pension Board, to which we are inviting expressions of interest from suitably qualified deferred members.
The 2022/23 P60 End of Tax Year Certificate is a summary of pension and tax paid for the year ending 5 April 2023, and will make up the lower half of your May 2023 payslip which will arrive by post at your home address shortly.
New employee pay bands and contribution rates will operate in the LGPS from 1 April 2023.
