When can I draw my deferred benefits?

Broken nest eggYour deferred benefits are normally payable at your Normal Pension Age in the LGPS. Your Normal Pension Age is linked to your State Pension Age (but with a minimum of age 65).
 
However, there are two ways that your deferred benefits can be paid earlier:
 
 
Your deferred benefits increase in value every year, until payment. Your pension will continue to receive cost of living increases every year, as it is paid to you: as the cost of living increases, so will your benefits.
