Important information if you are in your first year as a member of the LGPS

It is important that you complete a Membership Form when you join the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS). This enables us to provide important information about any pension protections that you might have.
 
The form also gives you on opportunity to tell us about other pension rights which you might wish to transfer into the LGPS. Any election to transfer benefits into the Scheme has to be made in the first 12 months of your membership. Prompt completion of the Membership Form helps ensure that this time limit is met.
