Merseyside Pension Fund will be closed from 5pm on Friday 22 December 2023 until 9am on Tuesday 2 January 2024.

Strike action and your pension

If you are on strike, your LGPS pension will be affected. Your LGPS pension is based on your pay, and your pay will reduce if you are on strike. You can pay extra contributions to buy back the pension you ‘lose’.
2023 Active Members' Annual Benefit Statements are now available online

Active Members who are registered users of 'MyPension', and were contributing to the LGPS as at 31 March 2023, can now view their 2023 Annual Benefit Statement online.
Revised Early Retirement Reduction Factors Published

In accordance with Regulation 2(3) of the Local Government Pension Scheme Regulations 2013 and following guidance received from the Secretary of State, we can now confirm that the early retirement factors have been updated with effect from 3 July 2023 and will be applied to benefits taken voluntarily before Normal Pension Age.
New employee contribution pay bands from 1 April 2023
