This growth reflects the rapid increase in investment in renewable generation sector.
Renewable energy plays a key role in reducing carbon emissions. Friday 21st April 2017 was the first 24 hours period since 1880 where UK went without coal fired power and this trend is expected to continue with renewable energy sources gradually replacing fossil fuels.
