If you were a member of the LGPS at both 31 March 2014 and 1 April 2014 and left with deferred benefits

Special rules apply if you were a member of the LGPS in England or Wales on or before 31 March 2014 and:
 
  • left an employment (or opted out) with deferred benefits and did not have a continuous break of more than 5 years in active membership of any public service pension scheme [1], or

  • left an employment (or opted out) with deferred benefits or ceased a concurrent job with a continuous break of more than 5 years in active membership of any public service pension scheme [2], or

  • left an employment (or opted out) before 31 March 2014 and did not have a continuous break of more than 5 years in active membership of any public service pension scheme and rejoined the LGPS after 31 March 2014 [3], or

  • left an employment (or opted out) before 31 March 2014 and had a continuous break of more than 5 years in active membership of any public service pension scheme and rejoined the LGPS after 31 March 2014 [4]
