When can I retire?

You can retire and receive your LGPS benefits in full once you have attained age 65.

The Scheme also makes provisions for the early payment of your LGPS benefits, including on grounds of ill health.

The State Pension Age [1] is currently age 65 for men. State Pension Age for women is currently being increased to be equalised with that for men and will reach 65 by November 2018.

To find out your State Pension Age, please visit here [2].
