I left employment after 31 March 2014

The following scenarios describe which decisions you may be required to make if:

you left an employment after 31 March 2014 and have now re-joined the Scheme, or
you left a concurrent employment after 31 March 2014 and continue as an active member in an ongoing employment.

Scenario 1:

You left a concurrent employment after 31 March 2014 with an entitlement to a deferred refund which is based on post 31 March 2014 membership (or on membership which is treated as post 31 March 2014 membership) only and continue to be an active member in the LGPS [1]

Scenario 2:

You left an employment after 31 March 2014 with an entitlement to a deferred refund which is based on post 31 March 2014 membership (or on membership which is treated as post 31 March 2014 membership) only and have now re-joined the LGPS [2]

Scenario 3:

You left a concurrent employment after 31 March 2014 with a deferred benefit which is based on post 31 March 2014 membership (or on membership which is treated as post 31 March 2014 membership) only, and continue as an active member in an ongoing employment [3]

Scenario 4:

You left an employment after 31 March 2014 with a deferred benefit which is based on post 31 March 2014 membership (or on membership which is treated as post 31 March 2014 membership) only, and have now re-joined the LGPS [4]

Scenario 5:

You left a concurrent employment after 31 March 2014 with a deferred refund, were in the LGPS on both the 31 March and 1 April 2014, and continue to be an active member in the LGPS in an ongoing employment [5]

Scenario 6:

You left employment after 31 March 2014 with an entitlement to a deferred refund, were in the Scheme on both 31 March and 1 April 2014, and have now re-joined the LGPS without a continuous break in active membership of a public service pension scheme of more than 5 years since ceasing to be an active member of the LGPS in the employment to which the deferred refund relates [6]

Scenario 7:

You left a concurrent employment after 31 March 2014 with an entitlement to a deferred benefit in the LGPS, were in the Scheme on both the 31 March and 1 April 2014, and continue to be an active member of the LGPS in an ongoing employment [7]

Scenario 8:

You left employment after 31 March 2014 with an entitlement to a deferred benefit, were in the Scheme on both 31 March and 1 April 2014, and have now re-joined the LGPS without a continuous break in active membership of a public service pension scheme of more than 5 years since ceasing to be an active member of the LGPS in the employment to which the deferred benefit relates [8]

Scenario 9:

You left employment after 31 March 2014 with an entitlement to a deferred benefit, were in the Scheme on both 31 March and 1 April 2014, and have now re-joined the LGPS having had a continuous break in active membership of a public service pension scheme of more than 5 years since ceasing to be an active member of the LGPS in the employment to which the deferred benefit relates [9]
