You only pay contributions if you choose to. You have 30 days from returning to decide and the cost is 16% of the pay you would have received. If you choose not to, you will NOT build up any membership for this period, and this will affect your pension benefits.

 

If you wish to pay contributions for a period of strike action within the 30 day limit, please contact your employer.
