The Fund reports 'the most difficult market conditions for 35 years'

The Fund has published its Report & Accounts for the year ended 31 March 2009. The Report & Accounts highlights the important issues affecting the Fund over the previous twelve months, together with full details about its performance in administering the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS).
Financial Statements record the transactions of the Scheme during the year and summarise the net assets at the disposal of the Managers at the end of the financial year. The actuarial position of the Scheme is dealt with in the statement by the Actuary contained within.
The Fund reports that notwithstanding the most difficult market conditions for 35 years, its long-term investment performance in 2008/09 remained strong.
