If your registered civil partner died as an active member of the Scheme, as a deferred member, or while in receipt of his pension, as their surviving widow you will be entitled to a survivor's pension.

If your registered civil partner died as an active member of the Scheme, as a deferred member, or while in receipt of his pension, as their surviving widow you will be entitled to a survivor's pension.

However the amount of pension payable depends on whether your civil partner died:

  • in service
  • as a deferred member
  • as a pensioner
Please Note
A pension for your same-sex partner is only automatically payable if you have registered your civil partnership.

If your registered civil partner died in service
